Welcome to my account. I hope you like what you have seen. If you are reading this, chances are, you did. ^__^ My name is April. I am one of two people who run two of the three accounts I have. and The other user is Alyssa. Alyssa created paranoid-duckkie way back at first because she loved the fanart dA had to offer, and she posted (with my permission) my fanart. This of course has changed. Now I am posting my own art, and we both post occasional photographs. Many of them are of kitties. Becuase for a logn time, paranoid-ducckie was mostly about fanart, we collected a group of people more interested in that than original art of photographs, so we made another account to share, by-polar bear, where we could post our photography.

But I am a very creative person. Fanart is great fun to draw, but it does have its limitations. I wanted to do more than fanart, but I had a feeling that if I focused on a more original, and complete project, it would overwhelm the people who watch paranoid-duckkie and for fanart, and in effect overflow the gallery. Very un-user-friendly. so I created (manic-goose)

about manic-goose:

A while back I decided that I would finally create my own original story and turn it into a graphic novel (manga because of the style). Due to complexity of such a project, and my enjoyment of actual narrative writing, I might change that to a novel with lots of elaborate pictures. For a very long time, I have been developing a story in my head. Now I am developing it as a tangible and real thing which I can share with people. I do not know if it will become something I can make money off of, though that would be lovely. I do know that I will finish it however. And manic-goose is where I will feature all the art, and story development connected to it. Right now, (manic-goose) is for concept art only, because it is my belief that I need to fully develop the characters and the story before I put it together. Part of developing the characters includes coming up with their designs and personalities completely, and part of it is practicing drawing them so that it is a simple matter which requires little to no effort on my part to draw them. I have done so with my first character, and now am doing so for my second character (the main character). I will develop my main characters this much. There are three, and the secondary characters less so, but still, it will probably be a little while before the actual manga starts being written.

As I mentioned, it is concept art you will find. I like to try my hand at drawing the characters in a variety of styles, not only does that give the viewer a more comprehensive understanding of the way the character looks, but it helps me visualize the characters more completely. And it is fun. I have fully developed the first character: Kojisai Taisu. There is a lot of art of him in there. I am working on developing the main character: Kiala Katerine. There will be a lot of art of her coming up soon. I have very little art of my third main character: Ryu Tomikai, but if you stick with me, more will be coming. I am also a teacher. I just graduated. I teach because I love to, so naturally, that has found its way into my art. I started making tutorials, and I know that I will continue to do so. I am, unlike most who make tutorials, very available and ready to answer questions, give critiques... anything to help other artists grow. But I wanted to keep the tutorials and the artwork separate. for ease of access to both, so I decided that I would turn my scraps into... more than anything else, a tutorial gallery. Most of what you find in scraps will be tutorials... not all, but most things. Below are a few of the tutorials I have made.
