Battousai

I'm terrible. I told myself, "no new art projects until I finish the comic." I couldn't resist. Earlier I made a (stoooped) picture that I called realism Kenshin... or something like that. I wasn't myself that day... anyway, I said I would come back to that idea when I was more my self. This isn't quite realism, but it certainly is more realistic than most of my pictures. I like it. I hope you do to!

I actually made this picture to be a stepping stone getting to another picture, but the funny thing is I ended up likeing this picture more. Anyway, because this wasn't the end I was after, I made a shadow for a sword, and even a place to put it, but I didn't bother with putting the sword there. Now that I am so fond of this picture, I have been looking at the blank space and thinking, I need to fix that, so I did. In scraps, i have a little version of what it looks like with a sword, and if enough people like it better, I might edit this to include the sword... unless someone really really wants me to leave this one the way it is. Anyway, any input you might be able to offer, I would appriciate. ^^

Please note: Referencing is an odd thing… for all fan art is referencing in some way… but this piece strongly references a specific picture.
